This is not common mountain ash.  Very cold hardy and easy to grow.  Mainly growing for its red fruit in fall and winter.  Excellent for medium garden.  Best growing in full sun location.  Good pest and disease resistant.  Low to no maintenance.   Dense hardy wood is very strong for strong wind and stormy rains.  Root system is strong so it is really good for planting in the parks. Small pink or near white flowers in late spring, followed by ripe red fruit in clusters from fall throughout winter. Very good for winter interest.  Birds and squirrels like to feed on the red fruit in winter.  USDA Zones:4-9.  Mature size:30’40′(H) X 20’30′(W).  Propagate by seeds or cuttings.

不常看到的花楸.  中型落葉喬木主要以觀花及觀果為主的庭園樹.  非常強健易於栽種.  最好栽種在全日照處.  很耐寒,沒什麼病蟲害,是不須維護的樹種. 它的硬木材質很能抵擋強風豪雨.  不過根系也挺旺盛的,適合中型庭園或公園的用樹. 米白色接近白色或粉紅色的小花於春末綻放,有香味. 葉綠但葉背白色.  夏末果實成熟轉紅,吸引鳥類或松鼠覓食.  紅色果實維持到隔年初春,有很長的賞果期.  成熟株高為30-40呎,寬幅20-30呎.  以種子或扦插來繁殖.

This is a small flowering bulb which is very cold hardy and easy to grow!  Perennial.  This double flower form snowdrop is truly beautiful with green and white flowers in early spring!  Perennial flowering bulb.  Good for cut flower.  Not very easy to find the bulbs here.  Luckily this fall I have found some for myself and for a client!  🙂  Best growing in full sun to partial shade location.  Excellent in woodland or alpine/rock garden.  Propagate only by bulbs/tubers or rhizoemes/offsets.  Mature size:4″-6″(H) X 3″-6″(W).  USDA Zones:3-9.  Toxic if ingested, plant may irritate skin.

相當耐寒且容易栽種的小型球根花卉! 多年生.  初春時開重瓣的花朵是綠色與白色清雅的組合!  適合切花.  這裡不是很容易找到這種重瓣品種.  幸運的是今年秋天有找到幫客戶買了2包來種!  最好栽種於全日照到半日照處.  很適合應用在林地花園或岩石花園.  以分株分球或以側芽來進行無性繁殖.  成熟株高4-6吋,寬幅3-6吋.  極耐寒也耐熱.  有毒勿食,皮膚直接接觸的話可能造成不適.

This rare, fragrant wild ginger flowers somewhat resemble orchid, even its rhizomes smells like violets!  Tropical perennial.  Native in south-eastern regions of southern Africa.  I was surprise how small these bulbs are and wondering how long will take them to flower…  The bulbs are firm and fragrant at least — signs of vitality!  🙂  Medicinal herb.  Mauve flowers with yellow and white spot in the center in summer.  Best growing in partial shade to light shade location in moist soil.  Prefer humid warm climate.  Easy to grow.  USDA Zones:9-11. Plant will dormant in winter so watering should be reduced. Mature size:1′(H) X 1′(W).  Propagate by seeds, bulb/tuber/rhizome, division.  Suitable for container planting.

這種稀有,芳香的原生薑的花朵很類似蘭花的花形,它的塊莖聞起來像是紫羅蘭混合著少許薑香!  熱帶多年生.  原生於南非的東南部地區.  我買來時它的球是出乎意外的小,比彈珠大些而已,所以也不知要種到多大才能開花…  至少球是紮實有香味–充滿生機的跡象!  🙂  它是藥草.  夏開有香味的淡紫色花,花心為黃色帶有白色.  以半日照到散光處用溼潤的土壤種植.  容易栽種.  耐熱不耐寒.  冬天會休眠要減少給水.  成熟株高1呎,寬幅亦同.  繁殖以種子,球根/塊根/地下莖或分株來進行.  適合室內盆植.
