Cold hardy medium sized flowering tree. Deciduous. Native in US but not common. Easy to grow. Best growing in full sun location. Fragrant white or pink flowers in clusters dangling down in late spring. Flowers attract bees and butterflies. USDA Zones:4-8. Mature size:30′-50′(H) X 40′-50′(W). Leaves from green turn yellow in fall. Propagate by seeds. Yellowwood has yellow wood and sap, sap can be used as yellow dye.
