It is one of the rare oaks.  Native in few states of south US. I do hope its habitat will recover and even expand!   Unique foliage with maple leaf resemblance with beautiful red fall color, it deserves more attention for sure!  Easy to grow.  Best growing in full sun location.  USDA Zones:5-8. 這是種很少見的橡樹之一.  原生美國南部的很少幾州.  我希望它在原生地能復育甚至於擴張到其他地方!

這種橡樹有著獨特的葉形,很像楓樹葉片,並且秋天時也能像楓葉轉紅,蠻值得種的! 其實蠻容易栽種的. 最好栽種在全日照處. 耐寒性不錯,但耐熱性欠佳.  成熟株高40-50呎,寬幅20-30呎.  繁殖主以種子來進行.  植株穩定後相當耐旱.
