Plant them in medium pot individually. Use clean, moist organic soil, slightly cover the sprouted seed, do not add more water. Cover the whole pot with clear plastic bag, tie the bag opening then place somewhere warm and dapple shade location. Open the bag to get fresh air once a day. This way will keep bugs off, avoid strong wind and temperature dropping too fast. When the shoot growing strong, leave the bag open for more air flow, but if seedlings do not react well, tie the bag again — keep an eye on these seedlings!
發芽的種子要個別種一中型盆. 盆土使用乾淨有濕氣的有機土,略覆土,如此濕氣足夠勿須澆水. 取乾淨透明塑膠袋將整盆放入後紮起開口處,然後放到溫暖散光處靜置等芽葉伸展. 袋子收口是為防蟲侵害小苗,也防風及溫度突降. 每天要開袋透風一次並觀察小苗生長的進度. 等小苗生長勢加快了,慢慢試著打開袋口,增加空氣流通也讓小苗適應外界的溫濕度及光線. 若小苗適應有點困難,加長封袋時間,總之以漸進式使小苗適應盆植的溫濕度後再適應無袋保護的狀態–適應期間最好常常檢查小苗狀況!
When the seedlings are growing well without bag covering, move them to partial shade first rather than full sun location. Then eventually grow them in the full sun location. Do not let seedlings dry out neither over water.
小苗長勢不錯的話可以去掉保護袋後先轉半日照不要一下子全日照. 當然其最後階段是使它們適應全日照. 水份控管很重要,不可乾掉也不可太濕.
Best growing outdoor in the ground in full sun location, otherwise can be planted in big pot to control growth.
以全日照地植為佳,否則以大盆來盆植藉以方便控制植株大小與冬天的溫濕度的掌控.
Slow growth. In order to speed up the maturity, you can try self grafting method. It will age the plant in shorter period of time.
