Tropical or subtropical aquatic perennial/vegetable.  Like Mimosa pudica but without pricks! Its leaves close once they are touched or in the evening.  Small yellow pom-pom like flowers in summer to fall.  Flowers attract bees and butterflies.  Plant has tiny airbags like cells so it floats on the water. Edible young leaves can be cooked as leafy vegetable or can be ate raw. Very easy to grow.  Best growing in full sun to partial shade location in water.   USDA Zones:8/9-12.  Mature size:3″-6″(H) X 1′-5′(W).   Propagate by seeds, cuttings or division. Could be invasive in warm climate.  Fast growing.  Good for containers indoors.  Medicinal.
