This tropical shrub has striking flowers which flower shape looks like peacock or butterfly!  Pea family.  Easy to grow in warm region as semi-evergreen or in cold region it can be planted in pot indoors for winter.  Best growing in full sun to partial shade location.  Red and orange flowers has long blooming time from late spring/early summer to mid fall sometimes to winter in warm region. — Which for plant with long blooming time is worthy the trouble even in cold climate.  Flowers attract bees, butterflies and birds.  Suitable in container indoors by the bright window.   Medicinal.  Toxic if ingested.    USDA Zones:8-11.  Mature size:4′-8′(H) X 4′-6′(W) in ground.  Propagate by seeds.  Self seeds easily.

它是熱帶多年生小型灌木,有著蝶形花朵很是美麗!  豆科植物.  容易栽種在熱帶或溫暖的地方,植株會呈常綠或半常綠現象. 最好是種在全日照到半日照處.  紅橘色或黃色的蝶形花的花期很長,春末或夏初時開到中秋左右,所在地溫暖的話冬天也還能續開.–所以在溫帶冬天較冷較長的地區是值得盆植室內過冬的.  花吸引蜂蝶及鳥類.   它是藥用植物.  有毒勿食.  喜熱怕冷.  成熟植株於地植能長到4-8呎高,4-6呎的寬幅.  當然盆植的話或小的多.  繁殖以種子為主.  容易自行落籽繁殖.
