It is a perennial vine growing for fruit and medicinal herb tea use.  It is native in south of China and Thailand.  It require male and female plant for pollination in order to fruit.  The pulp of inner fruit has been used as sweetener because it is 300 times+ sweeter than cane sugar.   It is diabetec-safe sweetener similar to stevia. 多年生草本的爬藤. 食用與藥用植物.  原生於中國南方與泰國.  有資料是說它雌雄異株.  所以在種植發苗時要多種幾株以授粉結果.  果肉常用來當甜味劑,因其甜味比蔗糖的甜度高300多倍.  和甜菊一樣都是糖尿病患可以安全使用的.
