This low mound of bamboo is common in Japan.  Evergreen.  Green leaves through coldness will develop white edge, other kind of fall color!  Often used as ground cover and low hedges.  Easy to grow.  Best growing in full sun to partial shade location.  USDA Zones:6-10.  Mature size:3’/4′-6′(H/W).   Propagate by seeds, rhizomes/tubers/bulbs or division.  Young shoots is edible when cooked.  Leaves are used to make tea in Japan.  Medicinal.

禾本科山白竹屬. 這種低矮的竹類是日本所常見的.  常綠.  綠葉於秋冬寒冷時會形成綠葉上有白色邊,是另類的秋色.  多用於地被或低矮綠籬.  容易栽種.  最好栽種在全日照到半日照處.  耐寒也耐熱.  成熟株高/寬幅為3-4呎.  繁殖以種子,地下根芽/走莖或分株的方式來進行.  嫩芽料理後可食.  在日本葉子可用於泡茶.  有藥用價值.
