English Ivy (Hedera helix) fruit in late fall early winter. 常春藤秋末冬初的熟果.
In many countries this evergreen perennial vine is rather invasive and not allow to import. Very hardy and easy to grow. But sometimes in cold climate it is still a good plant option for ground cover or green fence when other plants is not better option. Plant is toxic if ingested. Personally I will not use this unless I can not use other plants. Fast growing after plant well established. It can live in full sun to full shade. Rich or poor soil. Mid fall with small green flowers then fruit, fruit ripe and turn dark in early winter. The mature vine size:30′-40′(L/H) X 2′(W). USDA Zones:5-10. Good for flower arrangement material and decorative plant. It can be propagated by seeds, cuttings, layering or division.
在許多國家這種常綠多年生的爬藤是被列為強勢植物不准進口的. 非常強健容易栽種. 但在溫寒帶地區它仍是不錯的地被或綠籬的選擇,特別是某些情況下只有這個比較合適. 植株全株有毒勿食. 我個人覺得有其他的植物能取代的話我是不會用到這個的. 根系穩定後它生長速度會變快,光線不拘,土壤不拘都能生存下來. 中秋左右會開小小的綠色花,花後結的果在冬初成熟. 成熟株高/長30-40呎,寬2呎左右. 耐寒也耐熱. 適合當花材及裝飾用盆栽. 繁殖可以用種子,扦插,壓條或分株來進行.
