This germination is a bit tricky.  Keeping seeds warm first then keep cool to simulate summer and fall to winter.   Fresh seeds can direct sow (will take 6-18 months), otherwise you can try my way.

1.Small pot/container as seed tray.  Fill the seed tray with top soil/potting soil, sprinkle the seeds then cover the seeds with a very thin layer of soil.  Spray with water mist. Bag the tray with clear plastic bag/re-sealable bag.  Place the bag in somewhere warm for 1 month.  Open bag to get fresh air once in a while.

3.Wait for the seeds germination.  Gently move the sprouted seeds to small pot, one seed in one pot.  Place these small pots in partial shade location and keep them moist.

花瓣開久會變革質硬化所以雖顏色會轉淡後變成綠色的. 可賞花期有數月之久. 為常見的冬天和春天用的花材. 有單瓣和重瓣花色很多.  植株有毒不可誤食.

In many countries this evergreen perennial vine is rather invasive and not allow to import.   Very hardy and easy to grow. But sometimes in cold climate it is still a good plant option for ground cover or green fence when other plants is not better option.  Plant is toxic if ingested.  Personally I will not use this unless I can not use other plants.  Fast growing after plant well established.  It can live in full sun to full shade.  Rich or poor soil. Mid fall with small green flowers then fruit, fruit ripe and turn dark in early winter.  The mature vine size:30′-40′(L/H) X 2′(W).  USDA Zones:5-10.  Good for flower arrangement material and decorative plant.  It can be propagated by seeds, cuttings, layering or division.

在許多國家這種常綠多年生的爬藤是被列為強勢植物不准進口的.   非常強健容易栽種.  但在溫寒帶地區它仍是不錯的地被或綠籬的選擇,特別是某些情況下只有這個比較合適.  植株全株有毒勿食.  我個人覺得有其他的植物能取代的話我是不會用到這個的.  根系穩定後它生長速度會變快,光線不拘,土壤不拘都能生存下來.  中秋左右會開小小的綠色花,花後結的果在冬初成熟.  成熟株高/長30-40呎,寬2呎左右.  耐寒也耐熱.  適合當花材及裝飾用盆栽.   繁殖可以用種子,扦插,壓條或分株來進行.

It is one of the fast growing fruit!  So easy to grow in full sun location with moist but well drained soil.

草莓是生長快速的水果之一!  全日照下在濕潤但排水良好的土壤中很容易種植.

1.You can pick the seeds from a ripe strawberry surface with a pair of tweezers or buy a packet of seeds.

2.Plant your seeds in a container which better comes with a clear lid, fill with potting soil.  Moist the soil a bit but not too wet.   Sprinkle the seeds on top of soil then cover with the lid.  Place the container in warm partial shade location.

It is a very hardy perennial.  You may want to pick the variety with long blooming time, this way the plants you grow will have longer harvest season.  Growing from seeds this spring and next year you may harvest your own strawberries!  🙂

草莓植株是非常強健的多年生草花.  買種子包的話要儘可能選用花期較長的品種來種植,這樣採收期也會拉長.  如果今年冬/春天開始種子的種植,可能明年就能吃到結果的草莓!  🙂

2.Put seeds with small amount of water in a re-sealable plastic bag and keep the bag somewhere is dark and not too warm. Pick them out and plant them individually in a moss pallet or small seeding tray until they grow 4-6 true leaves. Keep seedlings in partial shade.

You also can grow them by using peat moss pallets directly. Keep the pallets moist. This will take just a bit longer.

3.Start to fertilize the young plants in small amount monthly.

4.Plant the young plants in the ground before frost or transplant them in lager pots. Use soil is well drain with compost matters.

It is fairly easy but needs some time. Be patient and you will have many of them for many years!
