Not sure this is Fragaria x ananassa or Fragaria virginiana ‘Wonderful Pineberry’.  Cold hardy perennial with edible fruit.  Easy to grow.  Best growing in full sun to partial shade location in moist but well drained rich soil.  Small white flowers in spring to early fall,  followed by edible small, marble sized fruit.  Fruit from green turn white with pink hue when ripe.  Everbearing variety.  Flowers attract bees and butterflies.   Fruit taste like strawberry and pineapple combined flavor.  Some people tried and loved it but some tried and said not as good as regular strawberries.   I am not sure why.  Even though I think it could be the plant cares and fertilizer making the differences.  USDA Zones:3-9.  Mature size:3″-1′(H)  X 9″-1′(W).  Propagate by seeds, runner or division.   Suitable for container indoors.

不確定這種是否為’Wonderful Pineberry’.  耐寒強健的多年生草花結可食用果實.  容易栽種.  最好栽種在全日照到半日照處的濕潤但排水佳的土壤.  春到初秋開單瓣的小白花,花後結白色帶點淡粉紅色的成熟果實.  果實吃起來帶有草莓味混和一點點鳳梨香.   有人覺得很好吃也有人覺得不如一般的紅草莓.  不知道為何試吃結果頗為兩極.  雖說同一物種在不同環境下日照與肥料的供給不同的確是會讓果實的味道不太一樣. 耐寒但不甚耐熱.  成熟株高:3吋到1呎,寬幅9吋到1呎.  繁殖方式可以用種子,走莖或分株的方式來進行.  適合室內盆植.

A cold hardy fruit vine!  A self pollinate fruit vine!     Easy to grow.  Best growing in full sun location.   Creamy white flowers in late spring to early summer.  Supposed to be with fragrant flowers but I did not detect any noticeable fragrance on these small flowers.  Edible small smooth-surfaced green berries are ready for harvesting in late summer to fall.  Plant flower and fruit on previous growth.   USDA Zones:4-9. Mature size:10′-20′(H/L).  Propagate by seeds, cuttings,  layering or grafting.  Fast growing.  Require strong structure for vine to cling on.

相當耐寒強健的水果藤蔓! 更棒的是有兩者雄蕊與雌蕊的完全花所以能自花授粉! 容易栽種. 最好栽種在全日照處.  乳白色的小花於春末夏初盛開.  花頗吸引蜂蝶. 雖然她的小花該是有花香的,可是聞的時候沒有聞到.  可以食用的綠色,果實表面光滑的小果於夏秋間成熟便可以採收食用. 它的扮老枝條才是會開花結果的藤,所以修剪時要注意.  耐寒也還算耐熱.  成熟株高/藤長10-20呎.  繁殖方式以種子,扦插,壓條或嫁接的方式來進行.  生長快速.  需要堅固耐用的支架來供其攀爬.

Annual vegetable.  This easy to grow vine because its long snake like fruit, requires high sturdy structure/arbour for plant to cling on.  Best growing in full sun location.  Unique white flowers with fraying petals which attract bees and butterflies a lot.   Very long fruit hang down and they do look like snakes.  🙂    Very exotic looking vegetable.  Taste good after cooking.  Mature size:10′-12′ (L) X 4′-6′(W).  Propagate by seeds.

One of my favorite sweet and fragrant melons!  Delicious!  This annual sweet melon  is handful size with pale green thin peel, the look is like a petit honeydew melon!   This heirloom melon is very easy to grow.   Best growing in full sun location in rich soil.   Open pollinate.  Small yellow flowers in summer.  It can be grown as a trailing vine or climbing vine.  Fast mature, about 50+ days.

我很喜愛的瓜類之一,它的瓜肉很是香甜好吃!  它是一年生的甜瓜,熟果通常是可以單手抓住不會掉的大小,瓜皮薄呈淺綠色,有點像是很小號的蜜世界(白蘭瓜),不過比較香!  這瓜很容易栽種,也很容易結果.  最好栽種在全日照處的肥沃土壤.  花朵容易經昆蟲幫忙授粉而結果. 夏開黃色小花.  由於它喜熱,通常夏天長速很快.  它能在地上爬或架高攀爬.   由種子到瓜熟生長快速.約50天左右.

歐洲栗是歐洲的鄉土栗樹品種,種植分佈相當廣.  樹齡很長.  很容易栽種.  春開黃白色小花密生在花梗上,結的果實於秋末成熟.   這屬中大型樹種,主以種來取其可食栗子及其均勻美麗木紋的硬木材,它是落葉喬木.  其栗子比中國種的甜栗個頭要稍小些,顏色也稍暗淡深褐些.  它的耐熱耐寒低維護且多用途,若是你有夠大的土地不妨考慮種植.  它很強健且低維護.  主以種子,扦插或嫁接等法來繁殖. 極具食用及藥用價值.
