Such a hardy plant! This summer flowering plant is one of native prairie wildflowers. Very drought tolerant. So easy to grow and propagate from seeds or dividing plant clump in early spring. Flowers also used as commercial cut flower which also attract bees and butterflies. Cold tolerant. USDA Zones:2-9. Mature size is 1.5′-2′ (H) x 1′-1.5′ (W). Best grow in full sun location.

非常強健易栽種的多年生草花. 全日照. 耐寒耐旱也耐熱. 原為草原上的野花,現在因為適合做為商業插花用的切花花材而大量被栽培. 花色有粉紅色,紫色和白色. 繁殖方式為種子和初春分株. 夏天開花,花吸引蜂蝶,很適合大型花園內大量栽植.

This is the second flower stem, last one was last week. I enjoy the pretty, cheerful flowers blooming indoor in this cold winter.

I did fertilize the plant for flower buds and seedpods but this plant has its own plan. 🙂

屬於鳶尾科唐菖蒲屬的球根花卉.    喜歡全日照土壤排水須良好.  植株耐熱不耐寒.  繁殖以分球為主,母球會著生木子(小球),木子種植短約1年即可開花.     另可用種子繁殖出雜交新品種.

我僅以盆植約2個月便開花結子,表示非常容易種植和繁殖!  當然以地植為最佳. 

花色多種可以挑選,適合做切花材料.

球根花卉,容易栽培,花較傳統劍蘭不同,感覺比較嬌弱文雅,因不耐寒,秋末要把球根起出以防寒害,是有點麻煩啦—還好不貴(1包10顆荷蘭進口球根也才2元加幣加稅),就算忘記收球根只做切花觀賞也不嫌貴.

有著傳統春天的美感,多年生球根花卉,通常初春到仲春開花,常見的是這個黃杯水仙Trumpet Daffodil品種名為"Dutch Master"

春天的小型球根花卉,較常見的花色是藍色,很容易以種子或球根繁殖
