Weigela is small to medium size (depends on variety) spring flowering shrub.  Low maintenance but requires once a year pruning.   Very easy to propagate it by green wood cuttings in end of summer to fall.  Very hardy, best in full sun to partial shade location.  Some taller varieties have long blooming time.   Most flowers colours are pink, red, white and purplish.   Flowers attract humming birds.
