Tropical orchid the fragrant seed pods (commercial vanilla beans) are famous for adding the fragrance into the food!  Fresh seed pod usually are cooked, dry and aged to maximize the fragrance.  Fresh green seed pods do not have any fragrance if you are wondering.  This tropical vine is easy to grow in shady location.  Mid spring to early summer with fragrant green flowers!  Hand pollination is needed to fruit.  USDA Zones:9-11.  Mature size:12′-40′(L/H).  Propagate by seeds or cuttings.  Suitable for growing in containers indoors.

熱帶蘭花其種子莢便是聞名廣為販賣用於點心的香草莢!  新鮮種子莢採收後經過多種工序後熟成乾燥藉以提高種莢最佳的香味.  新鮮採收的種子莢其實並無香味.  香莢蘭為藤蔓類容易栽種在避光處.  仲春到初夏間開很香的綠色的蘭花!  要結種莢必須動手幫忙授粉比較容易成功.  喜熱不耐寒.  成熟株高/藤長12-40呎.  繁殖以種子或扦插枝條的方式來進行.  適合室內盆植.
