This perennial herb has less anise aroma. It is very hardy and easy to grow. Best growing in full sun to partial shade location. Long blooming time. Deep pink to purple tube like flowers from late spring to mid fall. Flowers attract bees, butterflies and humming birds. Plant is edible. Mature size:1′-1.5′(H) X 1′-1.5′(W). USDA Zones:5-10. Propagate by seeds or cuttings.

Hummingbird “crack" – I planted this under my hummingbird feeder and they chose the plant.
They do that to my bee balm as well, they do prefer tube like flowers. Brighter the better! 🙂
