Watercress (Nasturtium officinale) 西洋菜/豆瓣菜
This hardy aquatic perennial is common vegetable that you can find in any supermarket nowadays. Very cold tolerant and easy to grow from cuttings or seeds. Best in full sun to partial shade location. When you harvest just cut the top tender shoots with young leaves then the rest of plants will continue to grow rapidly. Do not introduce it to wet land because its invasive growth. Small white flowers from late spring to mid summer and do grow seeds easily. I find it is easy to grow from cuttings and you can get a bundle of them with good price in the supermarket vegetable isle. Just save few thicker cuttings then grow them in a pot will wet soil. Keep the pot moist/wet (I keep the pot in a small container) and in full sun to partial shade location. USDA Zones:5-11. Easy to grow and propagate. Propagation from seeds or cuttings or dividing the plant clumps. As food you can eat it raw as salad or cook in water or oil. Medicinal. Fast growing.
