They are small shrubs in Citrus. Mature size:8′-10′(H) X 8′-10′(W). In pot will be or can be smaller. Evergreen glossy leaves and small white fragrant flowers are really pretty! I like their fruit peel is so frangrant and sweet can be eaten whole.
It is very easy to grow in full sun location with moist but well drained rich soil. It is easy to propagate from seeds, cutting or by grafting. Like all citrus they are not as cold tolerant in winter if you live in cold climate, just plant them in pots and bring them indoors by bright window in the fall. USDA Zones: 8-12.
金棗是柑橘屬的小型灌木. 地植的成熟株高或寬幅為8-10呎. 盆植會較低矮或可以修剪控制高度及寬幅. 葉片光亮常綠,白花小而香很是美麗! 我喜歡它的果皮香甜可整顆入口. 鮮果可生吃,泡茶或製成果醬,蜜餞等. 容易栽種在全日照處濕潤但排水良好的肥沃土壤. 容易以種子,扦插或高壓等方式來繁殖. 由於它們不耐寒,秋天變冷前要搬進屋放在明亮的窗旁過冬.

very tempting to have a go, if i weren’t already struggling with my lemon trees (in pots). it’s quite some hassle to grow citrus in the wrong climate i find. also, most, when grown from seed, take many years before they are mature enough to carry fruit, so i think i would be more keen to buy a grafted specimen.
This is more for fun! 🙂 The young plants in pots is very ornamental as home décor. Its beautiful glossy green foliage is full of life! Plus, this is easier than taking care of a lemon. Yes, growing a grafted tree will be faster for fruit for sure. 🙂

你那裡的金棗比較圓,我種的是比較橢圓形…..(這個是我媽媽要求我種的^^)……現在也是已經發芽了…..至於金桔,家裡已經有2株,但是也是一樣繼續種……^^…….
也有的是較橢圓的. 種子很容易發芽,我也播下了檸檬種子,也都長出本葉了,很可愛! 檸檬的葉也可用來作料理用.
說到水果,我也有種檸檬,目前約30公分高,還有梅子(不知道那一天會不會長到開成梅花**)還有蕃茄,再加上固定要種的辣椒,目前正嚐試釋迦種植……..go go…….
