Yellow Sundrops(Oenothera fruticosa ‘Summer Solstice’)月見草
USDA Zones:3-9 Very hardy native perennial. Prefer full sun to partial shade location. Easy to grow from dividing plant in early spring or late fall. Its bright yellow flowers bloom in early to mid summer. In fall the remaining leaves turn scarlet red if in full sun, bronze red in partial shade through winter. Mature height is 45-60cm (H) x 50-60cm (W). Drought tolerant when plants established.

I love these and have three different beds with them but they can be very invasive! I’ve planted them where they can’t “escape" and take over!
In suitable places they can grow fast but they need to be divided every 3-4 years to control the quantities.
