What a focal point! This is a variegated Norway maple. No messiness because it only can be propagated by grafting. Plant is sterile, you do not have to weed off the seedlings like other maple. 🙂
Full sun location for its variegated foliage to show the best. Height is about 40′, it is suitable for a medium or large garden. Hardy. USDA Zones: 3-7.
斑葉挪威楓,從變異的挪威楓無性繁殖而來,會開花不結有效種子. 所以對庭園的雜草清除很容易,春夏不用像種其它楓樹一樣得拔掉小樹苗要不然會變成小森林.
因是斑葉種,全日照才能使美麗的斑葉維持品相. 耐寒不耐熱. 成熟的高寬可達40’左右,適合中大型花園.

These are amazing accent trees. There is one growing at the end of our block. Unfortunately it started growing a branch that reverted to all green a little over twenty years ago. Being more vigorous it has taken over and outgrown the variegated branches and I don’t think there are any left. If anyone is thinking of growing one of these, watch out for green leaves!
This type of tree always grafted on a regular same type of tree. Anyone growing it should remove the non variegated branches or shoots to keep the look uniformed.
