Amaryllis blooms again!

This is the second flower stem, last one was last week. I enjoy the pretty, cheerful flowers blooming indoor in this cold winter.

I did fertilize the plant for flower buds and seedpods but this plant has its own plan. 🙂

  Yes, they are! I will plant the bulb in the ground when weather is warm enough, that way the bulb will grow leaves and get bigger, dig it out in the fall and grow it in winter for more flowers!

    They come with different colour–pure white, pure red, pink, white with red edge and white with red markings… You can Google the picture first to find some your likes and ask nurseries or even flower stores, if no luck just be patient wait around September-October, that is the time all these bulbs in the market. 🙂

Gorgeous! I love Amaryllis 🙂 I have three but they don’t flower anymore. They have lots of leaves but no flowers. They grow leaves all the time.

  After flowering they always grow leaves, lots of leaves to manufacture the nutrients from sun and from soil and then either grow bigger bulb or grow sub-bulb(s) to propagate itself.
  
  You can dig them out keep it in cool, not too dry but dark place for maybe couple months then plant it again in pot to stimulate flowers.
