Eryngium alpinum ‘Blue Star’ 藍刺芹
Last year I have grown some plants from seeds. This winter I am going to grow some more. It is slow growing perennial. I like its special look! It blooms in summer.
Plant info see this useful website:

I love this plant and wish you success with it. Blessings, Natalie 🙂
Thanks! Last it went well, I hope previous grown plants will flower this summer, I will post their flower image if they do.
I love thistles too and this looks like a beautiful variety. I see your photo shows a Mr Fothergill’s packet – is that the same people from my neighbouring county of Suffolk in the UK? If it is I had no idea they sent their seeds to Canada!
I checked the seed pack, it does written: packed in England! I have seen more seed packs are imported from UK these years.
How lovely, a little bit of Suffolk growing on another continent.
Isn’t it nice? Pretty things travel and make world beautiful! 🙂
Oh, I like thistles! My favourite is Eryngeum giganteum … Commonly known as Miss Wilmott’s Ghost. But I have never tried growing it.
They are all easy to grow. Perhaps you want to try this year! 🙂
Lovely flowers! Did you notice if the bees liked this flower? I was going to try Eryngium planum this year because I heard bees really like it.
Oh, yes, this genus plants are bees favorite!
Thanks!
