Beautiful birds! The best spots for photo are either indoor by window or outdoor near bird feeder!
I love chickadees! But there never sit quietly at one place. Lol.
I love them, too! They are super cute! 🙂 I took so many in cold quietly and hope the best that I can get few good shots! 🙂
And believe me, I could never capture a Cardinal any time. *sigh*
I stood still around the bird feeder for long time in cold and I finally get couple OK shots. I will need a telescopic lenses to take better shots for sure– they are such shy birds…
Nice to see you enjoy the same familiar birds that we have down here. Great pics!
Thanks!
I love all the mallards. So pretty.
They are pretty! 🙂

Thank you!
I recognize all these birds and was delighted and surprised by the ducks! I love winter bird watching. Do you belong to Cornell’s Project Feederwatch? They have a Canadian division.
I do not. But I have a birdfeeder and a hummingbird feeder in my backyard and love to watch them and taking photos of them. 🙂
It is interesting to see birds which are familiar to you but unknown in my part of the world except for the mallards.
Every different climate has its own wild birds. I believe there are quite many pretty ones in your area!
Happy New Year!
These are wonderful! I miss proper winter with snow!
Thanks!
Hello! I am loving the ducks bright orange feet! You have a lovely space, filled with beauty and nature. Thank you for visiting MY blog, and “liking" my post. I too love to get up close and personal with nature. Happy 2014! Margie
My pleaure! Happy 2014 to you, too! — Jane
Those mallard feet are very bright! I’ve never heard of a junco before – I shall have to go and look them up. They look rather like our blackbirds.
Junco is a kind of grey sparrow like bird with longer tail. Both sides of tail you can see white edges of feather. Its flying pattern is different from house sparrows.
You have lots of interesting birds. I really like the sound (and look) of cardinals.
I do, too! When I imitate male calling by whistling, the male one will try to find the sound source where the ‘competeter’ is, very funny!
You must do a good impression then!
wonderful publish, very informative. I’m wondering why
the other experts of this sector don’t understand this.
You must proceed your writing. I’m confident, you’ve a huge
readers’ base already!
Thank you!
