Clematis alpina seed collecting採收高山鐵線蓮種子
This is the look when it flowered this May.
And these are the seeds…they remind me the images of sperm shown in biology class…
Is it ‘Blue Dancer’? That’s the one I have, and it looks a lot like mine. It blooms really early and brightens your garden just when you need it the most.
very pretty.I have an autumn clematis that is just starting to bloom here in zone 5 USA. It usually is covered in white blooms around the first of September. It has a wonderful fragrance and the bees just love it!
Lol!
Haha, that’s what I thought of too. It’s so hard to eat sprouts anymore.
It is easy to grow from seeds, I do not eat them at all. Thanks for visiting and commenting my blog! 🙂
I love that kind of blue. I’ve never tried planting clematis from seeds.
Perhaps you would like to try it!
It’s a beautiful, delicate pale blue flower ! And yes, I agree, the seeds looks like sperm ! 🙂
Isn’t it funny?

There are many hybrid varieties of Clematis are very similar. Mine is called ‘Frances Rives’. It is early bloomer and very hardy.

I have sweet autumn clematis as well, they grow so fast! Yes I do like their fragrance and bloom in late season as well! 🙂
🙂 Ah… I guess I should wait for the clematis leavings to be truly fuzzy before I see the seeds.
Or wait the seed “ball" is dry enough so it will be easy to crumble off.
