I planted the seeds from a single fruit in the garden and after three years ended up ripping it all out. We were invaded by it! It grew over the walls, onto the neighbouring roof, over the rose bushes, the garden shed. The neighbours complained it was blocking the guttering and lifting the roof tiles so we pulled most of it up. It still shoots up everywhere though, have to keep a close eye on it. The flowers are gorgeous though.

Thanks for the heads up…I will keep eye on it!
Although here in Canada, the coldness will just kill the part above ground in late fall (Oct/Nov). They wouldn’t grow the shoots before May or June.
So, I guess it won’t be the same. I will let you know what happened, I appreciate your experience and advice!
It’s lovely to see these little plants getting started. I love the Passion Flower too but they didn’t do so well for us last year. 🙂
Maybe this year will be different! 🙂
Passiflora are one of my favorites! I look forward to hearing how they do in a northern climate.
I will keep update the progress then! 🙂
