Echinacea: Purple Coneflower got so many color now! There are all fragrant except that pink flower ‘Magnus Superior’! And ‘Green Jewl’ are the most fragrant among these and it is long lasting as well.
紫錐花現今有多種顏色了,以上除了’Magnus’其它都是有香味的且以綠色的’Green jewl’為最濃且跟其它品種一樣花期很長.
Very pretty! Is the same kind of “Echinacea" that is supposed to be good for you?
Good question! The medical use Echinacea is the original kind, not the cultivar.
i like that you show the less than best blooms along with very pretty – some bloom less than perfect – akin to all life

Yes, just like we are all different! Thanks for visiting and commenting my blog!
I love cone flowrs in the garden. Their tall purple flowers look wonderful with every flower. Virginia
Yes, they are beautiful! Now they have different colors and height, fragrant or not, single or double, so many choices!
I love these flowers-and such a wide assortment of colors-I am used to seeing the pink and white ones-very nice-
Thank you too for stopping by Move the Chair-I appreciate you taking the time to look-
Thank you too!
The pictures of your flowers are beautiful. Is this the same Echinacea that is good for allergies?
Echinacea is the genus, there are so many cultivars now you can find in the nurseries, but only the original variety has stronger medicinal affect.
If you want to grow for herbal tea, don’t grow cultivar varieties.
How lovely, I had lots of echinacea at one point, but the harsh winters have destroyed them, they look so gorgeous towering at the back of the border. You have inspired me to try again this summer – hope its not too late. Thanks for visiting my blog too.
Try to plant some again, they are long blooming perennial. There are so many color now! In end of fall cover some mulch over the root will help them through winter.
I initially had trouble trying to grow echinacea from seed. I think I’ve been at it for about 3 years now. Was most successful last year (2012) and have about 25 plants that have returned for 2013 — common purple echinacea and pink Pow Pow. This year I am trying to grow a yellow echinacea.
Good luck! They are very winter hardy, as long as seeds are fresh they are not hard to grow from seeds.
I love the green coneflower. My gardens have a lot of chartreuse green in them.
Thanks for “liking" my post “giving it away."
Thank you too!
Lovely! Do you have a lot of butterflies? I think that they love these flowers!
I do! It is so nice to have my afternoon tea under my arbour after 1pm because it is shady there. I enjoy watching birds (includes humming birds! ) and butterflies visiting and enjoying my garden as well. Occasionally, my neighbour’s cats will come to join me.
BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I appreciate the time you took to stop by. May your day be filled with joy and peace.

Cone flowers are one of my favorites. I didn’t realize there are so many varieties!
Nice variety of cone flowers. Thank you for the visit and the like of my post “Little Buds – Little Flower".
Thank you, too!
I love your pictures. Keep sharing.
Thanks! Glad you like them, too!
Lovely pix. I have native echinacea in my herb garden. We don’t use the plant for medicinal purposes, but rather to attract pollinators.
For medical use the original (native) Echinacea is the right plant. They all attract pollinators and they have long blooming time. 🙂
